There’s no doubt that Versalles has become the hub of the new restaurant scene in Puerto Vallarta with festive and delicious restaurants opening up regularly. On a recent day, showing clients around this vibrant neighborhood, we came upon Perbacco.
Have you ever visited Rome and walked into one of their local deli’s? Perbacco is that! The intoxicating smells pull you off the street and into this charming restaurant
Perbacco is the baby brother of La Tosca, a wonderful Italian restaurant also in Versalles. Specializing in delicious sandwiches made with Italian meats and cheeses, Perbacco serves their tasty treats on homemade, focaccia-like bread – better than any focaccia I have tasted!
Fresh, in-house marinated vegetables, such as artichokes, red bell peppers, eggplant, and sundried tomatoes are out of this world. The peppers and tomatoes are jarred, and for sale; so make sure to take some home with you. They also have homemade lasagna and gelato, but they specialize in sandwiches.
We tried the mortadella sandwich, the Italian sausage sandwich, and the caprese sandwich…all incredible! And the portions are HUGE, so prepare for leftovers.
The staff is so welcoming and accommodating and the restaurant has an Italian street-food vibe.
Prebacco’s hours are 11 AM to 11 PM Monday through Saturday. Perfect for an early lunch or late-night snack.
Perbacco is located on Viena, between Aldanaca y Berna.
